Coffee History
Where
is the word "coffee" come from? The words
from around the world that apply to coffee are pretty
diverse, including caffe in Italian, gahwa in the Arab world and
bunna in Africa.
The word "coffee" may have come
to us from Ethiopia, where the plant that
produces those exotic beans comes from,
the Kaffa region of the country. Kaffa became
Coffee.
The coffee percolator comes to us from
England, however "drip pot" was
a term in the American language since the
late 1800's. |
